[RO] Mi-am luat primul aparat foto în 2012. Cam tot atunci s-a conturat și aceasta idee. Proiectul foto se numește “Alone”. Are 10 imagini si a durat pana in 2018.
“Alone” este un proiect foto despre singurătate și despre greul de a duce povara singur. Singurătatea văzută nu ca pe un prilej de regăsire de sine, ci ca pe un monstru. Vazută ca pe ceva cu conotații exclusiv negative. Trăim într-o perioada în care suntem conectați pe toate canalele sociale. Cu toate astea, suntem singuri. Din ce în ce mai singuri.
Sunt oameni care experimentează un sentiment puternic de singurătate. Acest sentiment vine dinăuntru și nu dispare. Indiferent de situația socială, indiferent de câți prieteni au. Indiferent de locul în care se află: la mare,acasă, în oraș. Si indiferent de ce activitate desfașoară. Singurătatea cronică acționează la fel ca o închisoare: nu poți să ieși din ea.
Un studiu recent a fost efectuat pe mai bine de 3,4 milioane de persoane. Oameni cu preponderență din America de Nord, dar și din Europa, Asia și Australia. A investigat rolul pe care izolarea socială, singurătatea sau traiul de unul singur l-ar avea asupra mortalității. Oamenii de știință au descoperit că aceste trei situații aveau un impact semnificativ și totodată similar asupra riscului de deces prematur.
[EN] I bought my first camera in 2012 when the idea for this project was born. I called my project “Alone”. It has 10 images and it was ended in 2018.
“Alone” is about loneliness. It’s about the burden of bearing it by yourself. In other words, loneliness seen not as an opportunity to find oneself, but as a monster. Therefore, seen as something with exclusively negative connotations. We live in a time when we are connected on all social channels. However we are alone. More and more alone.
There are people who experience a strong sense of loneliness. That loneliness comes in and does not disappear. Just stays there regardless of the social situation. Regardless of the number of friends they have. No matter where they are. By the sea, at home, in the city, it’s the same. Chronic loneliness acts like a prison: can’t get out of it.
A recent study was done on more than 3.4 million people. People living in North America, but also from Europe, Asia, and Australia. It was investigating the role that social isolation, loneliness or living alone has on mortality. Scientists found that these three situations had a significant and similar impact on the risk of premature death.
